Over 8000 Meters

Eight-thousanders or the mountains over 8000m altitude reside in the Himalayan and Karamkora mountain ranges in Asia. There are 14 peaks over 8000m identified as independent from the neighbouring peaks, out of which 8 of them are located in the territory of Nepal. Mt. Everest being the highest of them all stands at the new record of 8848.86meters followed by K2 (Pakistan) at 8611meters, Kanchenjunga at 8586m, Lhotse at 8516m, Makalu at 8485m, Cho Oyu at 8188m, Dhaulagiri I at 8,16m, Manaslu at 8163m, and Annapurna I at 8091m.
