Description:

Trekking to the Base Camp of Mt Annapurna is one of the popular and interesting treks. Mt Annapurna, the tenth highest mountain in the world lies in the Western Part of Nepal. While you can enjoy the iconic views of the Himalayan range on the way, you can also experience the local culture, lifestyle, and hospitality. As it lies within the conservation area and is also the sanctuary of the Annapurna Region, it offers the opportunity to experience a diverse ecosystem and climatic zones, a gradual change in the vegetation and lifestyle and a wonderful natural adventure. Moving through the rural villages, dense forests, streams and rivers to behold the great snowy Himalayan Range sounds exciting to any adventure lover.

The ABC trek is not very challenging and does not require any technical experience; hence it is suitable for beginners as well. While on the journey you will get to see and familiarize yourself with different and distinct ethnic groups like Gurung, Magar and Thakalis, their practices and traditions. The Stupas, Chortens and Prayer Wheels on the route make the trek even more relaxing and satisfying.

There are different routes to ABC namely; Ghorepani-Poonhill Route, Ghandruk Route, and Dhampus Chhomrong Route. Each route is equally satisfying and beautiful and offers the best lifetime experiences of trekking. Depending on which route you choose and how long you spend your time in the places within the trail, your travel days may vary.

The trekkers will get to see the breathtaking and wonderful view of the Annapurna Range, (8091m), Mt Machhapuchhre (6993m), Mt Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt Gangapurna (7455m), and Mt Hiunchuli (6441m). The best part of the trek is when you finally reach the Base Camp and find yourself surrounded by the great snowy Himalayas from all sides.
