Tilicho Peak Expedition (7134m)

33 Days Spring Nepal
Description:

The Tilicho Peak (7134m) at the north of remote Manang Valley in the Annapurna is one of the technical and challenging 7000 m high mountains in Nepal. Bounded by the Marshyangdi Valley in the east and Kaligandaki Valley in the West, the Tilicho Peak is accessible from routes initiating from either valley. The amazing Mustang valley lies to the North of it.

The first ascent to this peak was made by Emanuel Schmutz via Northwest Ridge. This route starts from the shores of the Tilicho Lake, where the base camp is normally set up. The climb from the base camp to Camp I is extremely straight and the climb from Camp I (5800m) to Camp II (6100m) involves moving through 50 Degrees elevation and 500m long snowfields. The shoulder on which the Camp II lies is a 50 deg 700 m with very low exposure to risks being very wide.

The major attraction of this adventure is the Tilicho Lake at 4800m which offers indescribable scenes of beauty. Being present at the lake and staring at it will be truly overwhelming. Also, on the trail, we will get to witness the beautiful Himalayan Ranges of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Massif and also get chances to explore the local culture and traditions of people living in the region.
