Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is an adventurous and strenuous trek in the Annapurna region that leads to the base of the World’s 7th highest Mountain; Mt Dhaulagiri. The Dhaulagiri Circuit trek combined with Dhampus peak climbing makes the journey even more thrilling and challenging. This trek is a perfect choice for those seeking a next level thrill in the Himalayas.

 

Walking along the rugged and trodden path in the unspoiled nature through green lush forests, picturesque villages, witnessing diverse ecosystems and landscapes, and experiencing the rich culture and lifestyle of locals make this journey even more memorable and joyful. Upon reaching the Dhampus peak, we will be able to see the tempting views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Range, Gurja Himal, Tukuche Peak, Mt Fishtail and many other snow-capped mountain ranges.

One needs to have a healthy physique with strong determination and will power to go on Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek as it gets very tiring and challenging at times. But the spectacular scenery and breathtaking views make it worth all the challenges.

Throughout the journey, we will be able to see the majestic Dhaulagiri Massif. We will pass through Magar villages familiarizing ourselves with their local culture and lifestyle. We will cross the French Col. Following the trail to the Hidden Valley behind the Dhaulagiri Massif, we also cross the Dhampus Pass and Thapa Pass leading down towards Jomsom via Marpha Village.

Itinerary:

As you arrive at the airport and complete your immigration procedure, we will meet and greet and drop you off at the hotel for rest. We will see you in the evening fro the welcome dinner.

On this day, we will prepare all the documents. conduct a brief meeting on the trekking practices and obtain necessary documents. 

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Pokhara through the windy roads. Once we reach the beautiful city Pokhara,  we rest at the hotel and go sightseeing in the evening. 

Passing through the beautiful lush forests viewing the snow-capped mountains, we follow the Kali Gandaki River to reach Beni. From there we follow the Myagdi Khola to reach Darbang. 

Our trail now ascends towards the ridge that leads to Dharapani. From there we trek along the ridge to Sibang.

Passing through the small villages and forested path we ascend to Jugepani at 2000m. 

The trail moves along small villages. Even though we do not ascend much today, the trek is going to be a long journey until we reach Baghara (2080m).

From Baghara, we ascend towards Dobang. 

From Dobang, we ascend on the steep path to reach Sallighari for rest.

FRom Sallighari, we ascend towards Italian Base Camp at 3,600m and rest here for acclimatization. 

The trek will get more adventurous today as we trek up to the Chhonrdan Glacier at 4,200m. We will use the ropes to walk on the glaciers.

From Chhonrdan Glacier, the trail ascends towards Dhaulagiri Base Camp. On the way, we will be viewing the mesmerizing Himalayan Ranges and landscapes. The next day will be for acclimatization. We will also go on short hikes and practice for climbing. 

We ascend to French Col today. We move through the steep moraine using fixed ropes to reach the top of the French Col, from where we can witness irresistible scenery. From here, we move towards the hidden valley to camp and rest overnight.  

We begin our trek early in the morning. The climb to the top of the peak is strenuous and tiring. Just before reaching the peak, we will cross the final 60-meter ice bar using the fixed rope. Upon reaching the peak, we can view the beautiful Kaligandaki river flowing. Then we descend back to the Base Camp to rest overnight.

The trail from the base camp descends to Kaligandaki riverbank. Following the trail, we reach the apple capital of Nepal, Marpha.  

From Marpha, we start our trek to Jomsom a beautiful landmark in the Mustang Region. It is a popular stop for those who are heading towards Muktinath or the Thorangla Pass and even the Manang Valley. 

From Jomsom, we will take a short flight to Pokhara and again a flight to Kathmandu. We might also stay in Pokhara for sightseeing. 

On this day, we will go sightseeing around the major attractive places in the Kathmandu city. Our Professional city tour guide will take you to show different heritages. 

Its the last day of our journey. One of our team members will drop you off at the airport for your final departure.
