Chulu West Expedition (6419m)

Days Autumn, Spring & Summer Nepal
Description:

The Chulu Massif has four distinct peaks namely; Chulu East, Chulu East, Chulu Far East, and Chulu Central, all above 6000m and in the Annapurna Region as a part of Manang Himal extended to be touched by the Damodar Himal. Although there is confusion between Chulu East and Chulu West as they have not been properly marked in the maps, both offer an equal level of adventure, thrill, and excitement to the climbers. The Chulu West peak follows a path of Annapurna Main Trail to Thorong-La Pass. Chulu Peak Climbing is not only an opportunity to summit a mountain but to live an experience of watching and being around the world’s famous Himalayas like Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt Nilgiri, The Annapurna Massif, and other Himalayan range.  During this journey, the climbers will have the chance to trek along the grand classic trail of Annapurna while crossing the major high alpine pass: The Thorang La Pass, and witness the iconic Himalayan range. The overall journey offers the extraordinary experience of exploring the picturesque villages, diverse vegetation, cultural and natural diversity, the gradual change in landscapes as well as climatic conditions, the density of forests with varieties of trees, Monasteries and Stupas, the Muktinath Temple and amazingly beautiful Manang and Jomsom. One can extend the journey to accomplish the trek to the Tilicho Lake as well.

However, physical as well as mental preparation and experience of trekking and expedition of less high mountains is recommended because of the technicalities involved in this climbing.
